III. The Procedure followed in the decision making process, including Channels of supervision and accountability.:

The Head of the Institution is Director General. DG is empowered with the authority for all administrative, financial and disciplinary matters. Most of the decisions to carry out day to day activities are taken by DG on the recommendations of various internal committees constituted for the specific purpose as per Rules and Regulations. Byelaws of DPL. Decision on policy issues are taken at the Chairman and Board Level. All the financial decisions are taken as per General financial Rules and Delegation of Financial power Rules as amended by Government of India from time to time.

Each zone is looked after by Library Information Officer as Zonal Head and assisted by Assistant Library Information Officer and Library Information assistant. Zonal Heads are responsible for implementation and execution of the decision taken by competent authority. With regard to accountability, zonal Heads are accountable for all issues pertaining to their zone.
