Membership

To become a member of DPL all you need to do is to download the membership application form available on DPL website. Fill the details and get the signature of your parent/guardian if you are below 18 years. The duly filled membership application should be attested by any responsible person (such as Gazetted officers/Principal/Lecturer/Elected Public Representative/MBBS Doctor/Lawyer/Bank Manager/President/ Secretary of any Residents Welfare Association/ any Officer of Semi Govt. or Public Undertaking equivalent to the Gazetted Officers etc.) as provided under the Library Rules and submit the membership application form at the registration counter along with Rs. 25/- (for BPL card holders) or Rs. 100/- (for others), as applicable. Those who are unable to obtain attestation can become member by depositing refundable security deposit of Rs. 3000/-.
To enroll the membership to the residents of NCR on the same norm as applicable to the residents of Delhi, subject to condition that they have to deposit an amount of Rs. 3000/- per member as a Security Deposit refundable upon surrender of the membership without making payment of interest thereon.

Temporary membership of the library to the outstation students shall be provided for a period of six months on production of the any of the documents viz. (a) Photo ID Card of Educational Institute where the student is studying (b) Voter / Election ID Card (C) Driving License (d) Passport and accompanied with a security Deposit of Rs. 3000/-
Once the application form is filled submit it to the library staff at registration counter and show your current residence proof. We accept Ration Card/Election I-Card/Office I-Card/Passport/Driving License/CGHS.ESI Card/Bank Pass Book/Current Electricity Bill/Aadhar Card/MTNL Bill etc. as residence proof. Membership Card will be issued once, the application form is checked and found appropriate by the staff at the registration counter.
The borrower card is valid for one year for the members residing in Delhi and six months for the NCR members. Thereafter a fresh application for membership dully recommended under the Library Rules is required. In case change of address that members should immediately inform the staff at Registration counter for change of address.

DPL accepts Donation/ Gift under CSR. During 2018-2019, the DPL has received the following under CSR:

i. Rs. 3.25 Crores for purchase of 5 Mobile Buses from Airports Authority of India.

ii. One sanitary napkin vending machine from CSR Foundation in association with ONGC.
